Many organizations and websites fail to monitor their systems and the MySQL database sufficiently. Some organizations have no proactive monitoring in place. Is this you?

Question: What system monitoring do you have in place?
Answer: The users will tell us when something is wrong.

This is an actual answer for a production website.

There is no single product that provides a solution that is tailored to meet the needs of the mass market. Many products or plugins fail to accurately log all available MySQL information and then makes it impossible to review historical data for analysis or trending.

At the Monitoring MySQL project we aim to education and address missing features that are necessary for a successful deployment. We welcome your comments and contributions to providing a completed understanding of what is possible and what is needed.
